White River Shoot with Sam K
On Sunday I made my way downtown to the Meridian Bridge, warily eyeing the storm clouds. By some miracle of God, the rain stopped and the lightning left just long enough to let us get in some great shots. Sam and I shambled down the muddy river bank and set everything inside my portable changing tent. At first I tried to shoot with the rain cover over my camera, but since it was so cumbersome and the rain had stopped anyway, I left it by the shore. Luckily the rain stayed away, but my anxiety was there the whole time! We were able to fit two outfits in before the thunder started rolling again. Not ideal, but better than I had hoped for considering the storm. There was absolutely no sunlight, so my ISO was much higher than I would have liked it to be.
Despite the challenges of shooting in a river during a storm, the pictures turned out pretty good! I can’t wait to try the concept again when I can get some pretty backlight behind the model. What do you think of what we created?
